We are seeking a experienced Real Estate Underwriter II to join our team. This position is responsible for reviewing and approving or rejecting portfolio real estate applications, including valuations and withdrawn/denied files, and assist the Consumer Underwriters as needed.

**Responsibilities:**
- Review loan applications and supporting documentation to determine creditworthiness
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to assess risk
- Ensure loan files are complete and accurate in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Communicate decisions and recommendations to loan officers and other stakeholders
- Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters as needed
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in real estate underwriting
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency in the underwriting workflow.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in real estate underwriting
- Strong knowledge of underwriting principles and guidelines
- Knowledge of FNMA / FHLMC guidelines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working hours:

• Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
