Branch Manager

Department: CEDAR FALLS BRANCH
Location: CEDAR FALLS, IA

Collins Community Credit Union, a growing financial services institution, is now taking applications for a Branch Manager for our Cedar Falls Branch.

The Branch Manager is responsible for driving branch sales, increasing production, and enhancing member satisfaction through effective leadership, community involvement, and relationship development. This role demands a focus on accountability, trust, team development, and operational excellence, including completing audits and ensuring compliance with credit union policies.

1. Leadership & Team Development

  • Demonstrate enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values, and long-term objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate branch staff to achieve sales and service goals, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members, providing feedback and development plans to enhance their performance and career growth.
  • Ensure that all staff are trained and knowledgeable in credit union products and services, regulatory requirements, and member service expectations.

2. Sales and Production Growth

  • Drive branch sales and production by promoting and cross-selling credit union products and services, ensuring that member needs are identified and addressed.
  • Implement strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets, increasing both loan and deposit growth while maintaining excellent member satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for business development and improve branch performance.

3. Community Involvement & Relationship Development

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with members, local businesses, and the community, positioning the branch as a trusted financial partner.
  • Represent the credit union in community events and outreach programs, increasing brand visibility and engagement.
  • Work with local organizations and partners to develop new opportunities for the credit union and enhance its reputation within the community.

4. Accountability & Trust

  • Ensure compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, safeguarding both the branch and its members.
  • Evaluate and monitor branch and employee performance. Document and take corrective action as necessary to meet or exceed operational goals and maintain high standards of service.
  • Uphold the values of trust and accountability in every interaction, ensuring that staff and members feel confident in the credit union’s ability to meet their financial needs.

5. Operational Oversight & Audits

  • Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to operational standards.
  • Complete regular audits, balancing and reviewing financial transactions, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant.
  • Maintain proper risk management and internal control practices, identifying and addressing any potential operational issues or discrepancies.
  • Perform duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures.

Working Conditions:

This position requires frequent walking, as well as sitting and standing for long periods of time, this position must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; will need to frequently move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., a calculator, copy machine and computer printer); the person in this position frequently communicates with external and internal members on a daily basis, must be able to exchange concise, accurate and timely information in these situations; the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Job Qualifications:

Proven track record of sales success, team development, and community engagement. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and inspire a diverse team. Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

High School education with diploma, GED or equivalent; 1-3 years previous management experience; financial services experience preferred; strong and proven work ethic, with the ability to deal tactfully and efficiently with members and employees; dependability and time management skills are necessary; knowledge of Credit Union policies, products and procedures; strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills; must obtain and maintain NMLS registration and Notary Public; provide signature guaranteed under Securities Transfer Agents Medallion program; must be bondable in accordance with the State of Iowa and CCCU guidelines.
