Member Relationship Specialist III

Department: CEDAR FALLS BRANCH
Location: CEDAR FALLS, IA

Collins Community Credit Union, a growing financial services institution, is now taking applications for a Member Relationship Specialist III at our Winterberry branch in Cedar Falls. This position is responsible for new account set up, account maintenance, and lending. This position also has responsibility to open and close the branch.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long-term objectives. Performs duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures.
  • Professionally greet and when necessary, appropriately direct the member to the membership seating area or another area of the Credit Union– i.e., Restrooms, Members Financial, Real Estate Department, etc...
  • Assist members, non-members, and potential members via face to face, e-mail, and phone interactions.
  • Ability to effectively navigate and utilize all systems and equipment necessary to perform job functions.
  • Understanding of all departments’ primary functions and appropriate form of contact.
  • As needed assist with inquiries and process all account transaction requests within the Credit Union's procedures, policies, and guidelines. Including override authority.
  • Process member service requests for consumer and business products such as new accounts, new loan applications, and more all within the Credit Union's procedures, policies while thoroughly examining loan applications and other products to ensure there are no potential fraud risks prior to finalizing the loan to minimize potential losses.
  • Actively promote Credit Union products and services that will benefit and contribute to the member's financial success. utilizing The Member Advantage (TMA) process to uncover needs and refer to the appropriate business partner(s).
  • Conduct account openings and transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations by completing and gathering any and all required documentation to minimize potential fraud and losses. Includes fraud resolution authority.
  • Conduct employee account and loan requests.
  • Supporting the branch by fostering a positive work environment, meets or exceeds established personal goals while contributing to the daily branch operational tasks / duties designated by the Branch Management team.
  • Actively monitors work facilities for any security concerns and reports to the appropriate party.
  • Perform branch opening and closing operations within the Credit Union’s procedures, policies, and guidelines.
  • Professionally participate in community involvement, member development, and business development opportunities.

Working Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:15pm
  • Friday 8:30am - 5:45pm

Job Qualifications:

High School diploma, GED or equivalent required; four year college degree or equivalent is preferred; past experience leading and managing teams, with experience coaching with a focus on people skill development preferred; past financial institution, retail/sales, or inbound call center experience preferred; attention to detail, great organizational and time management skills, and the ability to multi-task are all desired skills; an ability to communicate professionally through all communication channels with co-workers and members is required; sales ability and interpersonal skills are necessary; working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook is necessary; must adhere to the Credit Union’s Security, Procedure and Policy guidelines; must possess effective knowledge of the Credit Union’s consumer loan and/or deposit products and services; must be bondable in accordance with the State of Iowa and CCCU guidelines and be willing to work a rotating work schedule.
